Taiwan tested its new Hsiung Feng cruise missile. With a range of 1,000 kilometers, and a highly accurate guidance system, Taiwan has held off on mass production of the missile, so as not to alarm China, and spend a lot of money. But now, Taiwanese legislators are under a lot of pressure to build lots of Hsiung Feng's, which cost over $300,000 each, and are faced with over 700 Chinese ballistic missiles across the Taiwan Straits.  The Hsiung Feng is also capable of hitting land targets along the Chinese coast, via a GPS guidance system.
